I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor and started my time with Complete Neuropsychology Services in July 2024. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Loyola University New Orleans in 2016 and my master’s degree in counseling from The University of Holy Cross New Orleans in 2020. I have been fully licensed since Spring 2023 and I am pursuing a doctorate in counselor education and supervision.
I have a diverse range of professional experience including nternships at a traditional community counseling setting, a CBT summer camp for 3rd-7th graders, and an elementary school. My employment experience has been primarily dedicated to crisis intervention. I spent four years working on the Suicide Prevention Hotline and then another four years working with a Mobile Crisis Intervention Unit wherein I was
dispatched to crisis in my community regarding suicide, homicide, psychosis, and substance-use. A crisis is self-defined and absolutely anyone can be in crisis, so in the course of my time on the crisis unit I worked with just about every population and presenting issue possible using solutions-based crisis intervention skills to help clients stabilize and re-establish a sense of safety, connection, and security.
In addition to my professional experiences, my practice is greatly influenced by my personal experiences with trauma, mood disorders, and
neurodivergence.
These days, I work with clients across the life-span, with special interests in adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergent stress, suicidal ideation, issues related to gender and sexuality, and self-acceptance. I practice from a holistic wellness model using a client-centered, “eclectic” approach that prioritizes the therapeutic relationship and enables creativity though the combined use of a variety of therapeutic modalities instead of staying grounded to one favorite. I do find myself relying heavily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Feminist Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy, and Reality Therapy techniques.
I pride myself on being neurodivergent and LGBTQIA affirming, trauma and chronic illness- informed, and multiculturally competent.
You are the expert in your life, not I; I am a tool to help you navigate that life.
