Heidi Shock, LMSW (she/her)

I’m a fully licensed clinical social worker. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. I’m also a certified advanced alcohol & drug counselor through the state of Michigan.

I began working therapeutically with clients in 2007 in both residential and outpatient settings, providing individual and group therapy. I have a strong background in co-occurring disorders, addressing issues related to trauma, depression, personality disorders, anxiety, domestic violence, PTSD, grief work and substance use disorders.

For the last 15 years, I have worked in collaboration with the Genesee County Recovery Court program providing therapy to individuals with co-occurring disorders, assisting as they navigate the legal system.

My goal is to provide a safe, engaging therapeutic environment that helps you achieve your goals. I utilize a variety of evidence-based interventions including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Reality therapy. I look forward to working with you!
