I was initially inspired to go into social work due to my personal experience with persons with developmental disabilities. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology before going on to graduate school. I received a Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University in 2006.
Since then, I have worked as a clinical therapist in multiple different settings. I trained at University Psychiatric Center, providing intakes and treatment planning for children with mood disorders. I spent four years at Easter Seals as an intensive home-based therapist for children and adolescents who were involved in the juvenile justice system.
I have worked as a therapist with the Maternal Infant Health Program, providing treatment to pregnant women and their infants. I spent a few years at home with my own two children before meeting Dr. Erin Mark and training with her to become a psychometrician. I now provide clinical therapy and neuropsychological evaluations as needed.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents and adults in addressing concerns with executive functioning, emotional regulation and mood disorders. I use a variety of evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Organizational Skills Training and Mindfulness.
