"Hey there, I am Wen. I am a human. being. An ebullient spouse, parent of an exceptional kid, three-time cancer survivor, maker person, scientist and chai tea dependent life form, with an irrepressible sense of joy.
As a non-binary person, it is my hope to help make CNS an inclusive space for often marginalized identities by ensuring inclusive practices and advocating for inclusive language. I served on the Advisory Committee for the Advancement of LGBTQ Health at Michigan Medicine (2020-2021) and PFAnetwork board member (2019-2021) advocating for the same changes to health systems here in Michigan and beyond our borders.
I know that this can be an overwhelming experience as I have gone through it myself, as I am a neurodivergent person with autism. Further, I have a neurodivergent daughter who is also autistic and has ADHD. In fact, my daughter was evaluated by Complete Neuropsychology Services, because, well…you go to the best when your kids' well-being is at stake.
As a multifaceted employee, with many talents, and I collaborate with Dr. Erin Mark and the rest of the team to help you have the best experience possible. I am grateful to be a part of this amazing team.
This can be a stressful and arduous process, but you can do it. Take it one question at a time, one step at a time, ask questions, take good care of yourself and know that you are not alone."
